2nd grade Monoprints
We have been exploring printmaking and how to transfer an image from one surface to another. Currently, we are making monoprints which means one print. We painted shapes and colors onto foil and transfered it to paper. The next art class we painted more shapes and colors along with TEXTURE to change our prints.
5th grade Cultural Art
Banyan Trees
A Banyan tree ia an Indian fig tree whose branches produce aerial roots that later become accessory trunks. A mature tree may cover several acres in this manner.
The 5th Graders painted the silhouette of a Banyan tree with black paint. When they come back from camp they will add oil pastels between all of the branches and aerial roots. They must blend analogous colors.
