Art Class

"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up."
I love teaching Elementary Art because young children value the sheer enjoyment of creating and the process of discovery. In our art room, we value the process more than the product. Our processes support critical thinking, problem solving, cooperation, language development, fine-motor skills, gross-motor skills, hand-eye coordination, visual discrimination, visual memory, identifying cause and effect, predicting, multi-sensory experiences, sequencing, goal setting and self-reflection.
To support our goal you can ask your child to describe his/her experience of creating the art.
